Jan Martinsen founded Saferec AS in 1982. Saferec AS constructs and sells rescue vehicles in Scandinavia and is a certified rescue vehicle tool shop.

Saferec AS currently has nine employees with a gross income of 55 million Norwegian Kroner (NOK)Saferec AS is located in their own building at Hellen Industriområde in Gjerdrum.

The company has an accumulated experience of more than 150 years in the industry.

Milestones in the company history

1982

Saferec AS was started as a subsidiary of Mora Hydraulics in Sweden. Mora Hydraulics AB later acquired the two Swedish companies Bro Wrecker AB and Sepson AB.

1987

Saferec AS becomes a fully owned Norwegian company.

The company starts co-operating with Jige International in Revigny Sur Omain in France. At the same time the co-operation with Vulcan starts. Both Vulcan and Jige international are later acquired by Miller Industries.

Saferec AS becomes the Scandinavian representative for the brands Vulcan, Century, Holmes, Chevron, Challenger, Eagle, Champion and Boniface Engineering Ltd as well as Jige International.

Saferec AS starts importing lock picking tools from Next Generation Tool Company.

1992

Saferec AS starts representing the brands Superwinch and Premier Hazard light ramps.

1998

Saferec AS moves into a new building at Ask in Gjerderum country a few miles north of Oslo. The new building has an area of more than 1.000 square meters used for work shop, warehouse and offices.

2000

Saferec AS constructs a 2400m2 (square meters) factory rented by Dekkmann production.

2006

Approved construction plan at Hvam, Skjetten. Businesses and appartments with a total area of about 13.500m2.


Since the beginning Saferec AS has represented Warta/Mora Hydraulics and later Sepson AB.  Additionally we continually participate in product development with our suppliers so that you as a customer get the latest in modern rescue vehicle technology and solutions.
